Shaq’s Too Big For
Supercar
 O
kick off Supercars weekend in Palm Beach, basketball superstar and Halcyon
Jet's partner Shaquille O'Neal
came from Miami to present a check to local kids to attend the
festivities. Cars from across the country—supercars such as
Ferrari, Lamborghinis, Ford, Jaguar, Porsche and divine Rolls Royces—were
on breathtaking display for all to lust after.
The ever gracious Shaq,
going for the press shot, agreed to get into a delicious
Ferrari. At 7'3" he's one of the tallest, biggest men in the
league. The car came barely to his knees. To see the giant
man scrunch his body into that car was a sight for sore eyes. With
the seats way back, the knees were up to his chin, driving would have
been a miracle. Like toothpaste he unwound from the car. It was a
brilliant display of good nature and showmanship, at which Shaq
is a genius.
The weekend attracted more than
25,000 awed spectators. Brunello di Montalcino was the wine of choice
from the beautiful Italian Villa Castiglion Del
Bosco. Opened as a deluxe luxury club, this Ferragamo-inspired
estate is now available to the public. Try their vintages first. They
will transport you to a more tasty and luxurious place.

Parker Benefits
Riverkeeper
 HOPPING
on the Upper East Side: Clearly that's an oxymoron! But socialites
Melissa Berkelhammer, Arden and Joslyn Wohl and Andrew
Parker, who lent his eponymous store Parker to
the venture, attracted the young and famous on a recent evening.
Uber socialite Tinsley
Mortimer made it, along with a group of other young, glittering
socialites. The shopping sprees were all for a good cause, the Riverkeeper
Foundation, which protects New York's drinking water by keeping
the Hudson and other waterways clean. It's also, a much cleaner place
for the fish in our area. Even swimmers are no longer afraid of the
murky waters.

Heidi Klum on the runway for
Heart's Truth Red Dress Collection |
Fashion Week
 HE
largest gathering of fashionistas in New York takes place every February
and September. That’s when Bryant Park is tented over, and every other
available space is transformed into runways, environments, and fashion
hideaways.
Hundreds of millions of dollars
change hands with people coming from all parts of the world to enjoy
this annual lovefest. You need to be a fashion insider to score a
ton of tickets, but most people can score a few.
Everyone said the first rows
were full of celebrities again after being deserted in past shows.
Famous faces were front and center. Especially the women of TV’s Lipstick
Jungle—Brooke Shields, Kim Raver and Lindsay
Price, along with creator, Candice Bushnell. It was the
best publicity the show could have, and they enjoyed the Dennis
Basso show. Zang Toi has a loyal following and they were
front row for him.

The biggest celebrity show
of the season is turning into the Red Dress Show, lead
by Laura Bush.
The runway is filled with
the brightest stars. This year there were Anne Hathaway,
Heidi Klum, and more on the A list.
