IANA
QUASHA, Lenox Hill Neighborhood House board president, hosted a
Champagne Veuve Clicquot reception in her lovely Park Avenue
duplex for the House’s 16th Annual Holiday Bazaar.
They
called the kick-off Pillow Talk to honor the 40 designers,
including Mark Epstein, Albert Capraro, Richard Mishaan, Lisa
Jackson, Catherine Aaron and Stephen Siegel, Harry Heissmann, Queer Eye for the Straight
Guy’s Thom Filicia, Jamie Drake, Geoffrey Bradfield, Joey
Horton, Sheila Camera Kotur, Leigh Talamo, and Brian
McCarthy who created pillows and footstools from Scalamandre fabric
and trim for the bazaar’s silent auction.
Guests,
including the event co-chairs Andrea Donahue and Eva
Dillon, with her husband Brendan, Nancy and Harold
Baker, Marjorie Baker-Riker, Ed Goodwin, Royce Pinkwater, Renée
Landegger, honorary chairs John Rosselli and Julia
Wallace,Virginia Pitman, Lucia DeRespinis, and LHNH executive
director, Warren Scharf, oohed and aahed the pillows
and footstools that looked irresistible in the fabulously
decorated apartment.
Diana’s
company Empress, Duchess & Tart, which mixes luxury and whimsy
in non-precious jewelry with a high-octane impact, will have a
booth on the sale’s famous Boulevard of Shops.
Each
major “shameless bauble” bears the name of a memorable woman
in history, literature or the arts. Think Josephine, Jezebel,
Scarlett or Marilyn.
If
the stunning necklace she was wearing or her white-hot feathered
cuffs she showed to Mireya D’Angelo, Paulette Smyth, Janet
Schlesinger and Blakely Griggs are any example, it will
be a very popular shop, indeed.
