A Designing Star Is Born
OLLY KRISTEN is
taking the fashion world by storm – and she’s just 23.
During Fashion Week, the glamorous Rainbow Room atop Rockefeller
Center attracted the fashion press and glitterati to her drop dead
sophisticated designs. Chic, slender columns of drapings and
short, fluffy halter cocktails – the audience was left applauding
for more.
The showstopper was her Jewel Collection
dresses valued over $1 million dollars. These
gowns begged for a date at Versailles!

COTY’s Glamorous Party
 ID-Fashion Week, the invite was for the
breathtaking Rose Center For Earth & Space in the American Natural
History Museum. What a place to hold a party, especially if you
wanted to weigh yourself on Jupiter or Mars!
The center, one of New York's greatest natural
treasures, was the fashion epicenter of the world to celebrate COTY'S
dominance of the fashion world for 100 years.

Seen dashing between meteors, space rocks and other
out-of-this-world oddities were Isabella Rossellini, the ever glamorous Carol
Alt, the new college students Mary Kate and
Ashley Olsen, who seem to be everywhere as new residents of
Our Town. And the piece de resistance, Miss Jennifer
Lopez and hubby Marc Anthony. With two
Coty fragrances to her credit, and a new one coming up, Miss Lopez was
movie star glamorous, gracious with both the paparazzi and the crowd,
and went out of her way to enjoy the evening.

This Father Won’t Rest
 LIZABETH SMART –
who can forget the name of our brave young heroine, snatched from her
own bed more than a year ago, and the center of a national manhunt.
Finally rescued, Elizabeth has successfully escaped
the limelight and seems to have settled back happily into anonymity
with her family. But her father, Ed Smart, came
to New York to deliver an important message at the Credit
Union National Association's reception during the
Republican National Convention.
Smart, an advocate of the National Child
ID Program, spoke about his dedication to safeguarding
America's youth from abduction, and the importance of assistance for
runaway children.
The program uses an inkless fingerprint kit that
allows parents to take and maintain their child’s fingerprints at
home and keep for their own record. The ultimate goal of the
program is to distribute 60 million of the ID kits nationwide.
