ENOX
HILL Neighborhood House’s 16th Annual Holiday Bazaar at
Sotheby’s was a rip roaring success, raising $500,000 to benefit
its children’s programs on Manhattan’s East Side.
The
three-day shopping event opened with a Preview Party for 500,
including Annette de la Renta, Tobie Roosevelt, Judy Peabody,
Kenneth J. Lane, Sydney Shuman, Susan Mortimer, Katherine Rothman,
Renée and Carl Landegger, Wiggie Bitter, Bunny Williams,
Vogue’s Alexandra Kotur, Courtney Arnot, and Leslie
Heaney.
The
honorary co-chairs were John Rosselli, Julia Wallace and
Gracious Home’s Nancy Wekselbaum. Co-chairs were Eva
Dillon and Andrea Donahue. Nancy Baker was the
hard working underwriting chair.
They
all strolled down the glorious Boulevard of Shops, stopping to
talk with LHNH board president Diana Quasha and look at her
shameless Empress, Duchess & Tart baubles; the U.S. Ambassador
to the Court of St. James’ stepdaugher Kelley
Farish, who
flew in from Kentucky with her adorable children’s clothes at
Bella Bliss; and Susan Gubelmann, who was there with her
daughter Marjorie Raein and tables of fabulous gift items.

Sam
Winch, “The Lulabadeer” who had flown in from his home in Wisconsin to
perform, earned a standing ovation from his many fans, including Brendan
Dillon, Miles Redd, Michael and Rebecca Silver.
Lenox
Hill Neighborhood House executive director Warren Scharf
was there with staff members Virginia Pitman, Lucia DeRespinis,
Lynn Appelbaum, and oodles of red aproned volunteers. The all
worked hard, as they always do, to help people gain the skills to
strengthen themselves and their community.
