Almost $1 Million

WHO’S WHO of New York headed for the Park Avenue Armory on 67th
Street to kick off the fall social season with a bang at the 15th
Annual Preview Party for the International Fine Art and Antique
Dealers Show.
Hosted
by the Society for the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center,
raised almost one million dollars for patient care, research and
education programs.
Co-Chairmen
Jamee Gregory and Leslie Jones threw open those
massive armory doors to welcome 1200 guests, including Hilary
Dick, Sharon Bush, Pat Buckley, Julia and David Koch, Coco
and Arie Kopelman, Michele Gerber Klein, Blaine Trump,
Shoshanna Lonstein, Ivana Trump, Nan Kempner, Muffie Potter Aston,
Andrea Stark, Evelyn Lauder, Henry and Marie-Josee Kravis,
Carroll Petrie, Anne Bass and Adolfo, who purchased
tickets to see and be seen—and to shop!
There
was over $250 million worth of English, Continental, French, and
Russian antiquities.
Tom
Guinzburg
created a scavenger hunt that challenged ticket buyers to match 10
riddles to the names of some of the 56 exhibiting dealers. Prizes
included a 9-day art cruise on the luxurious River Cloud from
Amsterdam to Maastricht.
The
generous underwriters of the evening were Saks Fifth Avenue,
represented by Jennifer de Winter, and Graff Jewelers,
represented by president Henri Barguirdjian.
Others
basking in the glamour of it all were Joanne and Roberto
de Guardiola, our own Nina
and Tim Boxer, Jessie Araskog, Daisy Soros, David Patrick
Columbia, Veronica Hearst, Jamie Niven, Allison and Leonard
Stern, Kathy and Rick Hilton, Somers and Jonathan
Farkas, Alexandra Lind Rose, Helen Schifter, Bettina Zilkha, Emilia
and Pepe Fanjul, Debbie Bancroft and Chappy Morris.
