HILL Neighborhood House’s gala preview of the International Fine
Art Fair,
sponsored by Rolex, raised more than $7 million. The institution
helps those in need who live, work or go to school on Manhattan’s
East Side and improves the quality of life for all those in the
neighborhood.
Chairs
Audrey Gruss, Diana Quasha, along with Rolex USA’s
president Walter Fischer, greeted 1,000 guests.
Each
table was designed by a different designer using one of the works
of art on display as inspiration. The highlights were the Rolex
table by Richard Mishaan, as well as tables by
Jackson/Aaron/Siegel, Mark Epstein, Scalamandré, Stark
Carpet, Harry Heissmann for Albert Hadley and Kitty
Hawks. Robert Rufino, the design chair of the evening
created one for Tiffany’s.
