NNETTE
LAUER, InStyle
Magazine fashion director Hal Rubenstein, and Escada USA
president Caryn Lerner hosted a lovely evening
of shopping and fashion to benefit the U.S. Fund for UNICEF at the
three-level Escada boutique on Fifth Avenue.
More
than 350 guests showed up including Blaine Trump, R. Couri Hay,
CeCe Cord, Mark
Gilbertson, Deborah Norville, Jane Hanson, Michael Fagan, Grace Hightower,
Christiaan MacPherson, Jamee Gregory, Jason Grant, Somers Farkas, Janis
Gardner, Laura Henson, Kristi Witker, Marta Michaud, Linda
Mansfield, and
Jill Roosevelt.
The
place was steeped in ambience created by lighting designer Bentley
Meeker. The hors d’oeuvres were by Rex Duvall. The
lemonade martinis made everyone forget that the weather outside
was frightful. And DJ Beverly Bond added excitement.
Gorgeous
Annette, a former model and the wife of NBC’s Today host Matt
Lauer, is the Special Representative for the U.S. Fund for
UNICEF. Following in the footsteps of Audrey Hepburn, she
travels around the world visiting impoverished nations, raising
awareness for the important fund.
Founded
in 1946, UNICEF helps save, protect and improve the lives of
children through immunization, education, health care, nutrition,
clean water and sanitation. Three cheers for Annette! |
