ONGRATULATIONS
to chef extraordinaire Wolfgang Puck and his beautiful
designer wife Barbara Lazaroff (originally from New York).
Your fantastic Granita restaurant is 10 years old. I love attending
the birthday bash in Malibu.
So many of the couple’s
friends came to salute this wonderful restaurant. Mary Ann Mobley
and husband Gary Collins had a terrific time. You must
remember May Ann as Miss America 1959. She hailed from Mississippi.
Gary was host of the Miss America Pageant for several years.
I enjoyed chatting with
Mary Ann about Wolfgang’s celebrity restaurant, Spago’s, in
Beverly Hills.
Everyone had a chance to
sample Wolfgang’s signature dishes as well as the yummy desserts
created by talented chef Jennifer Naylor. I adored the salmon
pizza and lamb.
The evening included a jazz
band performance – with Hal Linden on clarinet! I told him how
much I hoped he’d be back on Broadway where he belongs.
All had not really changed
in ten years. Wolfgang looked younger, Barbara was still designing,
and I loved wearing lace.
