Season Brings Out
All the Regular Suspects

SPEN
was hotter than ever this holiday season with hardly a trace of a
recession. Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith were
there with three kids along with Melanie’s twice-ex, Don
Johnson, his wife Kelley and their baby Grace.
Jack
Nicholson, George Lucas, Christian Slater, Ivana Trump, Lynda
Carter, Goldie Hawn
and Kurt Russell, Robert Wagner and Jill St. John, Nicky
and Paris Hilton, Paula Zahn and Kevin Costner were
all there with their families.

Mariah
Carey
and Luis Miguel rekindled their romance at the posh French
restaurant, Renaissance. Monica Lewinsky, R. Couri Hay,
skiing ace Paul Fagan, Dallas rugby star Tyler Trovillion,
Suzanne Murphy, Anna Malova aka Miss Russia, and Ben Affleck
looked around for new ones.
The
best party was given by Prada’s Katherine Ross to open
their new store on South Galena Street, followed by a dinner at the Harley
Baldwin’s Caribou Club.
The
Prada store is as sensational, in a Rocky Mountain way, as the one
that just opened in SoHo in Manhattan. It already is a gathering
place for stars such as Dustin Hoffman and Milla Jovovich,
who was always with her mother and her little white dog, Madness.

It
feels more like a grand chalet than a business, four stories of
burnished wood with fireplaces on every floor.
On
New Year’s Eve the party to be at was the one given by Denise
Rich and her daughter Daniella at their sprawling ranch,
with cases of Veuve Clicquot and mounds of caviar.
Will and Jada Pinkett Smith spent the night more privately as they
were celebrating their fourth wedding anniversary.
Also
in privacy were Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson,
celebrating their first.

I
wonder what they feel about the stories circulating in the London
music scene these days saying that his band, the Black Crowes, are
finished because Chris is spending too much time with his new wife.
I hope it isn’t true, but you can’t entirely blame him.
